2010 ANA/Pfizer Fellowship in Clinical Practice Overview

Program Objective

• To contribute to the career development of nurses, pharmacists, or physicians who have completed their didactic training and have elected to specialize as clinicians

Program Design

• One award for $130,000 which will be paid out over 2 years at $65,000 per year. Award is intended for salary support.

Eligibility

• US-based schools of medicine, colleges of osteopathic medicine, nursing schools, pharmacy schools, and schools of public health

• US citizen or US permanent resident who

  • Has a doctoral-level degree
  • Has an appointment as a postdoctoral fellow with an accredited institution
  • Have at least one year of postdoctoral research training/experience appropriate for the research proposed
  • Does not hold a full-time tenure track faculty position or the equivalent in the first year of fellowship

Selection Process

• Nationally competitive
• Independent academic advisory board selects award recipients
