2010 Pfizer Fellowship in Clinical Oncology Overview
Program Objective
- To contribute to the career development of physicians who have completed their residency training and have elected to specialize in Oncology as clinicians and/or academicians
Program Design
- Up to 10 grants will be funded. Each grant will be for $100,000 which will be paid out over 2 years at $50,000 per year. Only 1 grant can be awarded per institution. Award is intended for salary support.
Eligibility
- US-based, academic medical institutions that currently have an active clinical oncology fellowships program are encouraged to apply. Such programs should focus on training physicians for a career as clinical oncologists through the provision of educational experiences in clinical practice and research. A hematology component can be part of the existing fellowship program.
Selection Process
- Nationally competitive
- Independent academic advisory board selects grant recipients
